In the summer of 2011 it will be possible to get acquainted with the techniques of glass art in the Kai Koppel’s experimental glass studio, which is located in the courtyard of the Evald Okas Museum.
Glass artist Kai Koppel is a founder and an organizer of the International Hot Glass Symposium in Haapsalu. For two weeks Kai Koppel will be prepared to share her art at the Evald Okas Museum’s garden, in the glassblowing studio. During three days the museum's yard gates are opened and everyone can come to watch the creative process of how hot molten glass turns into a work of art.
It is a unique and experimental open glassblowing studio, where spectators can enjoy the artist's creative activity and see how the glass is molten into a work of art and subsequently chilled, leaving it in its final form. |
